Fritter Bread Facts
The Nelson Bros. Bakery started making Fritter Bread approximately 30 years ago. At that time, one of our bakers created the dessert loaf and named it Fritter Bread. Since then, we have perfected the product. On average, the Nelson Bros. Bakery makes 400 loaves of Fritter Bread per day. Wow!
Our Fritter Bread is not only delicious, it’s world famous. We once had some customers fly in from Arizona during the winter because they wanted Fritter French Toast for breakfast.
Over time, we have expanded our flavor offerings. Apple is the most popular Fritter Bread flavor. Our world famous Fritter Bread is available fresh daily in the following flavors:
- Strawberry Rhubarb (seasonal)
Bonus: Fritter Bread is delicious as Fritter French Toast. The Nelson Bros. Restaurant has become legendary for serving a slice, a new twist on a traditional favorite. Fritter Nuggets are a rainbow blend of our Fritter French Toast, cut into nuggets, dipped in our special batter and crowned with creamy frosting.
Fritter Bread is equally outstanding served cold. Raspberry Fritter Bread makes the most incredible Monte Cristo sandwiches.
